Rome, NY — May 22, 2025 — ORION recently completed a successful pilot program with the Deployed Global Solutions LLC (DGS), testing and evaluating their Velum software—a session-less networking software protocol that was purpose-built to protect industrial control operational technology (OT) systems with the Risk Management Framework in mind. The engagement was part of ORION’s ongoing Pilot Program, which invites organizations to have their systems rigorously tested by a specialized team to assess and enhance security, resilience and functionality.
During the pilot, the ORION team worked closely with DGS to develop a deep understanding of Velum’s architecture and operations. The test team executed an intensive and comprehensive evaluation of the system, identifying opportunities for strengthening security and performance.
